Gates Kindergarten Graduation Held Graduation ceremonies were ■held Thursday evening, May 13, at the Gates Kindergarten rooms for the 1970-71 Gates- Mill City Kindergarten stu dents. Teri Mumey gave the opening prayer. The students sang several songs, accompan ied by Mrs. Willard Howell, and then each one recited their favorite poem. Diplomas were presented by their teacher, Mrs. George Stafford, to Derrel Anderson Karin Bastuscheck Robin Boas ter, Tami Brosig, Stacey Pick er, Roljert Gesner, Tammy Housley, Kristi Lengacher, Teri Mumey, Neil O’Donnel, Kevin Poole, Stephanie Sand ers, Phyllis Stodola, Danny Teague and Angie Wiley. Mrs. Stafford also presented each student with a gift along with orchid corsages to Mrs. How ell, and Mrs. Dale Brosig and a gift to Mrs. Brosig in appre ciation of her chairmanship of the kindergarten this year. Following the presentation of a gift to Mrs. Stafford from her students, a reception was held with punch, coffee and cookies served by the mothers. Climaxing the year’s activ ities, a picnic and field day was held the follownig day for students and mothers. Games and races were held with all the pupils winning ribbons. An added event was the moth er’s race with Myra Mumey coming in first and Chris Teague second. A picnic lunch completed the day’s events. Pre-registration for next year kindergarten student will be held sometime in mid August. Mrs. Stafford said that a definite date would be an nounced later. 72 Pounds of Clothing Sent Overseas by Presbyterian Group Refreshment hostess for the dessert luncheon for the Presbyterian Women’s Ass-> cation at Fellowship hall on Thursday when only eight members attended was Mrs. Charles Kelly. Mrs. Roy Epperson was in charge of the project. Discussion was held concern ing taking over the serving of the Lions club dinners again, but no decision was reached as so few were present. The final meeting of the1 current year, tentatively set for Thursday, June 10, will probably be in the form of a picnic.
