Miss Graham Here
Miss Erma Graham of San
Francisco, Cal., arrived last
Friday at the home of her mo
ther, Mrs. Ernest Graham, for
a two weeks’ visit after a har
rowing trip due to the stormy
weather. She was met at the
Salem Airport and driven to
Mill City by Mrs. Else Allen,
who had l>een in Salem over
night.
The airplane on which Miss
/Graham was a passenger had
landed in Eugene on time, and
’already loaded some passengers
for Portland, when it was an-i
nouneed that they would not
be able to land in Salem due
to the inclement weather.
Those on board were given a
choice of being taken to Salem
by bus, or else going through
to Portland after which they I
would be “on their own.”
With a driver waiting for
her at the Salem Airport, Miss
.Graham chose to take the bus.
and arrived at her destination
about one and one-half hour
late. The last time she came
home for a visit it was during
the heat of Summer, so this is
quite a change.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gooch of
Salem visited last Sunday at
the home of his sister, Mrs
Sylvia Duncan.
