\T> -00®’ TheMill City Enterprise ON THE SCENICNORTH SANTIAM HIGHWAY — OREGON’S FAST GROWING VACATION WONDERLAND VOLUME XXV NUMBER 29 Up and Down ♦ The Avenue I By Don Moffatt One morning last week when I came to work, I noticed a huge pile of cigaret butts dumped in front of The En terprise office. It sort of got my Irish up, so when I swept up the mess, I decided instead of putting it in our trash bar rel, I’d just put it in a plastic sack and hang it up by the door. Not only did I put up a sign warning that anyone I catch pulling this dirty little trick, I’d take the license number, and turn it over to Chief Don Gillenwater for prosecution. You may not know it, but. there is a law against littering. Why can’t these people treat our streets with a little respect. If they want to clean out their ash trays why don’t they do it at home and dump the stuff in their own yards. I hope this warning is sufficient to keep this from happening again.
