District Manager Ronald Blun dell pointed out today. Enu merators, or census takers (most of whom are women), started making their rounds in the area on April 1 and are expected to complete their work in three to five weeks. Each census taker will wear a red, white, and blue identi fication card. This card bears the seal of the Department of Commerce, and the words “Census Enumerator, Official Credential" are printed across its face. It bears the census taker’s signature and certifies that she is authorized to per- your Nation. One exception can be made— and it is made to help you. Suppose you have no birth cer tificate and you need proof of your age for Social Security, Medicare, or retirement bene fits. Suppose you need proof of familv relationship in claiming a rightful inheritance. Suppose you need proof of American citizenship for a passport or job requirement. In any of these circumstan ces, the law will accept as valid a transcript of these per sonal items as they appear on your census record. However, and this is an important fact to remember, only you or your authorized legal representative can secure such a transcript. When it comes, fill it out and return it with the required fee of $4.00 or $5.00. The children receive special education as well as physical, occupational and speech therapy at the school. Students at tne school range from pre-school through the 6th grade and must be able to profit from the academic program in order to be eligible.
