PAGE sa | Polling Places Set, Mar. 10 Election Voters in the four-County Mid Willamette Area Education District will ballot March 10 on a $2,855,477 tax levy for capital outlay and operating expenses for Chemeketa Community College for 1970-71, Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Following is a county-by- county list of polling places. Health Occupations Program Fall Program Slated For Nurse Aide A new program is being plan ned for the Health Occupations Department in 1970-71 at Cheme keta Community College at the request of the Oregon League for Nursing. Gladys Hatfield, chairman of health occupations at the college, said the nursing Assistant Pro gram is being planned if the March 10 budget is approved by district voters. It is a direct response to a request by the nursing league. The league requested the course after seeing a need to train nurses assistants and to refresh inactive registered nurses for return to the pro fession. Mrs. Hatfield said the new pro gram will be a one-term, 330- hour course designed to prepare manpower for aide positions in nursing homes, hospitals and public health agencies. Students will be assigned tasks and learn skills in patient care under supervision. During the training period they will work in hospitals, nursing homes, and assist with health department home visits. At completion of the course, the students will receive a certifi cate.
