Highlight of the evening was the appointment, present ed by Mrs. Muriel Field, Wor thy Grand Matron to Mrs. Maud Clark, of Grand Repre sentative of Oregon to Tenne- see, which came as a complete surprise to Mrs. Clark and the officers and members of Marilyn Chapter. Mrs. Janet Lewis was re ceived into the order by affil iation from San Jose, Calif. Marilyn Chapter voted to sponsor Earnest Freeman, a student at Northwest Christ ian college in Eugene and I^awrence Laird, a student at Phillips University in Enid, Okla., for Estarl Awards. Larson’s father, after their flight from New York, They traveled to Gates to spend a week with Capt. Larson’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Brisbin of Gates, and his sister and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wilson in Mill City. Christmas Eve and Dinner was held at the Robert Wil sons.
