Boy of the Month
Mrs. Douglas Hirte of Cor
vallis was in Mill City Sat
urday. She and her children
had been visiting the Bill Hir-
tes east of Gates. She reported
that she will be meeting her
husband in Hawaii February
4th. He is now serving in the
Army about 60 miles north
west of Saigon. She also stated
that Doug was leaving army
service the latter part of May,
after seven years of duty. She
said he plans on going into
the real estate business in Cor
vallis when he gets his dis
charge.
Mrs. Hirte, who does consid
erable painting, states that she
likes portrait painting the
best, and that she plans on en
tering Linn-Benton Communi
ty college or OSU in the spring
to further her career. She says
she has a real love for people
and Likes to portray their
character on canvass.
