Weekend Series
The Santiam Wolverines
gained a win and suffered a
loss last weekend when they
traveled to Medford for a
double header with Phoenix
and Eagle Point.
In the first game the Wol­
verines overcome a 14-8 first
quarter deficit and played a
constant pressure game to
hand the Phoenix Pirates a
54-13 loss. The Wolverines
were led by center Dick Berg
and Ron Johnson with 18 and
13 points. Respectively, Berg
and Richard* also grabbed 11
rebounds each.
The following night the Wol­
verines piayed the Eagle Point
Eagles and were beaten by a
score of 72-51. The Wolver­
ines were unable to hit from
the floor and had several turn­
