will meet next Thursday, Dec­
ember 4th at the Scout Cabin
for their annual Christmas
Party. In place of a gift ex­
change each one attending is
asked to bring an unwrapped
gift for someone at the Tur­
ner Memorial Home.
Officers for the ensuing year
will be installed by Mrs. Walt­
er Thomas.
The meeting will start at
12:30.

Auxiliary at her home Thurs­
day evening with Sue Poole
presiding at the business meet­
ing.
At impressive candlelight
ceremonies Sue Mikkelsen was
inducted as an Auxiliary' mem­
ber with Bonnie Krecklow con­
ducting the ceremony. Mrs.
Mikkelsen was presented a
membership pin by her dau­
ghter, Sue Poole. A picture
was taken for the Auxiliary
seraph:ok of the Mother-Dau­
ghter duo.
It was announced that The
Lions Paw would open on Sat­
urday. December 6. The store,
featuring many items for sale,
is located in the North San­
tiam Real Estate building on
Highway 22. Free coffee and
cookies will be served that day
during the 10 a. m. to 5 p. m.
store hours. Anyone having
items of any nature to sell
may contact Mrs. Poole or Mrs.
Mikkelsen or any other club
member. The Auxiliary will re­
tain 30% of the sale price with
the seller to have 70%. Net
profits will be used by the Aux­
iliary for their sight conserva­
tion program and many other
civic projects.
At the conclusion of the bus­
iness meeting Mrs. Clarence
Meader, her daughter and dau­
ghter-in-law, demonstrated
Koscot Cosmetics with those
present giving themselves fa­
cials with the assistance of the
demonstrators.
The Auxiliary will have a
Christmas party jointly with
the Lions club with the next
regular meeting to be held in
January at the home of Mrs.
Mikkelsen.
At the close of Thursdays
meeting Mrs. Berg served re-;
freshments to the 12 ladies
present.
Santiam Memorial
Revises By-Laws
| STAYTON—The revised by-
> laws of the Santiam Memorial
Hospital Auxiliary were adop­
ted at their meeting Thursday
afternoon.
Mrs. Ercil Wilson, president,
announced a plant had been
sent to Mrs. Lena Baker on
her 90th birthday honoring her
for her untiring dedication in
her sewing for the hospital.
The Mill City Garden Club
has consented to make the
swags for the hospital doors
for Christmas.
Mrs. John Apple is chairman
for the Annual luncheon to
be held the third Thursday in
February—the place to be an­
nounced later.
Mrs. Leonard Cruson gave
an account of mast interesting
convention held at Lincoln city
in October,
Mrs. Delbert Sandner an­
nounced three homes will be
?pen to the public for the
“Chrismas Tour of Homes”—
the time to be announced lat­
er.
June K. Bartow sent word
for assistance on Friday and
Saturdays at the Thrift Shop,
the hours are 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Members of Marilyn Club
met on Tuesday at 12 o’clock
at the home of Mrs. Charlie
French with Mrs. Clyde Phil­
lips as co-hostess. A pot-luck
luncheon was served. The
rooms of the French home
were attractively decorated,
using the Thanksgiving motif.
The birthdays of Mrs. French
and Mrs. Edward Cruson were
observed.
