By Becky Earhart Pep Club met Monday, Nov ember 10 to decide upon a blouse to go with the Pep Club uniforms. Money-making projects including a cookie sale were also discussed. F.H.A. held a meeting on Wednesday, November 12 tj discuss money-making projects. Class meetings were held Friday, Novemlier 14, during activity period. Senior skip, the magazine sale, and the con cession stand were the main topics of discussion in the Sen ior class meeting. Juniors made plans for the Jr.-Sr. Prom, and discussed m jney-rnaking pro jects and the magazine sale. The Sophomores discusseti, plans for the Sweethearts Ball, a slave sale, the magazine sales and other money-making pro jects. The Freshmen too dis cussed money-making projects including a dance and the tal ent show. ( 2__ The Mill City Enterprise. Lyons Garden Club Meets At Bodekers LYONS—Mrs. Chester Riggs and Mrs. Alex Bodeker were hostesses for the November I meeting of the Lyons Garden Club held at the Bodeker home Wednesday. Members brought gifts to show as suggestions for Christmas. It was voted to send gifts to a baby home for Christmas and each member to bring a gift for exchange for the Christmas party which will be held at the J. McPet- ers home, December 10. Mrs. William Prichard and Mrs. Glen Julian were prize winners in the games played. Roll call was answered by those present telling of Fall work accomplishments. Pre sent were Mrs. William Prich ard. Laurie Stange Has Birthday Party Mrs. Bill Stange entertained Monday, November 10 for her daughter, Laurie, on her lOtn birthday anniversary. A number of young guests ¿attended the party which was held after school with party games played and the tradi tional bitrhday cake and other refreshments served. Winning prizes were Lynn Larson, Susan Henness, Lori Urban. Sherry Davis and Den ise Muise. Others present were Jeanne DeMain, Pam Krecklow. Na talie Wills, Valerie Mason, Lori Eide with Deanna Quar ry sending a gift returned last week from a Green carpet bus tour which took them on a month’s trip to the southern states. The bus load of 35 people left from Portland and made stops at many interesting and scenic spots. They had overnight ac- commodations at hotels en- rout.e. In Florida they took in the Cypress Gardens and the Weeke Watche show which they said was very entertain ing. The Kimmels also took a side trip to Nassau, staying overnight at a hotel there. They were “bystanders” at a wedding breakfast for 300 guests and they said it was in teresting to view the mixed races attending. They visited El Paso, Texas, and with five other couples took a taxi trip to Juarez where they were impressed with the many modern build ings and wonderful shopping centers. The Kimmels said there was quite a bit of rain in Florida but the downpour didn’t last long and they were able to go where they wanted to “be tween showers.” They reported an enjoyable trip but were glad to get back home. Linda Sanders Hosts Bid or Bunch Club Linda Sanders entertained members of her Bid or Bunch pinochle club Monday evening, serving refreshments before the evening of cards. All memlters were present and Mrs. Sanders won the high prize with Rilla Schaffer win ning low and Betty Pit tain, pinochle. Names were drawn for the Christmas party gift exchange which will be held December 15. The next party will lie De cember 1 at the home of Mrs. Schaffer. Dishongs Feted By Friends Sunday Friends of Rev. and Mrs. Donald Dishong and family gathered at the Mill City Com munity Church last Sunday to abserve the tenth anniversary of the Dishongs as pastors of the church. A s rial time preceded the program. Refreshments in cluded a cake decorated with a scripture verse. The program included sever al numbers by the Melody Aires, vocal numbers, pupetry.
