Fisherman's Bend
The Mill City Garden Club
I met Thursday July 10 at “The
i Firs” shelter at Fishermen’s
Bend Park for their annual
picnic at 12 o’clock. Mrs. Char­
lie French and Mrs. Don Carl­
son were ca-hostesses and fur­
nished the dessert and coffee.
Mrs. Clyde Phillips presided
at the business meeting.
The August meeting will be
changed to Wednesday, August
6 so that the members can go
to Salem on August 7th to the
Salem Garden Club’s annual ’
tour of Gardens. Those wish-I
ing to go on the tour are ask-'
ed to contact Mrs. Else Allen.
The August 6th meeting will
be at the home of Mrs. O. K.
DeWitt.

liam Moore on Saturday, July

Mrs. Daniel Moore, of Mill
City.
The Rev. Charles Fultz, pas-
tor of the church, performed
the double ring ceremony.

ing the wedding music.
The bride, escorted to the
altar by her father, was gown­
ed in a floor length Redingote
dress of Chantilly lace over a

featured a circular built-in
Watteau train and a flounce of
ruffled lace accented the high
neckline and long sleeves.

pearl embellished lace anti org­
anza held a floor length veil
of silk illusion.
Her bouquet was made from
white ice berg mums and pink
rosebuds.

accessories.
A reception was held at the
IOOF hall immediately follow­
ing the ceremony with Mrs.
Carol Weathers cutting the
bride’s cake and Mrs. William
Lyness, aunt of the groom,
and Mrs. Dave Barnhardt. aunt
of the bride pouring.
Both the church and recep­
tion hall were decorated in the
bride’s colors of rainbow hued
flowers and ribbon streamers.
For the wedding trip the
bride donned a white en-
semble with yellow trim a nd
yellow accessories.
The young couple will live
at Gates where he is employed
in construction. She has just
completed a course in a Salem
Beauty college and when her
husband enters the service this
fall will work in that occupa­
tion.
Both young people are grad­
uates of Santiam High school
and he has attended college in
the east and OSU. She attend­
ed Bend Community college
for a year.
