Mrs. Char lie French and Mrs. Don Carl son were ca-hostesses and fur nished the dessert and coffee. Mrs. Clyde Phillips presided at the business meeting. The August meeting will be changed to Wednesday, August 6 so that the members can go to Salem on August 7th to the Salem Garden Club’s annual ’ tour of Gardens. Those wish-I ing to go on the tour are ask-' ed to contact Mrs. Else Allen. The August 6th meeting will be at the home of Mrs. O. K. DeWitt. Mrs. Wendell Heller, chair man of the Garden Club Flow er Show announced the date as August 19 and the show will be held in the High School Gymnasium. Mrs. Heller gave each member present a sched ule for the show. This years theme Is “Dahlia Time up the Otto Weid mans Host Santiam”. Elaine Stafford Marries Patrick Moore In Saturday Evening Ceremony Miss Ruth Elaine Stafford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mar vin Stafford f Mill City be came the bride of Patrick Wil liam Moore on Saturday, July 12 at i’:3C in the evening at the First Christian Church, The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Moore, of Mill City. The Rev. Charles Fultz, pas- tor of the church, performed the double ring ceremony. Ligating the tapers were Miss LaDonna Bradley and Miss Debra Barnhardt with Mrs. Eugene Davenport play- ing the wedding music. The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, was gown ed in a floor length Redingote dress of Chantilly lace over a peau nc S. ie sheath. The gown featured a circular built-in Watteau train and a flounce of ruffled lace accented the high neckline and long sleeves. A contour demi-tiarra of pearl embellished lace anti org anza held a floor length veil of silk illusion. Her bouquet was made from white ice berg mums and pink rosebuds. Honor attendant was Miss Patricia Moore, wearing a blue nylon dotted Swiss floor-length gown and bridesmaids were Miss Melody Barnhardt and Miss Delores Staff rd. Flower girl was Leia Weath ers. carry ing a basket of pastel toned rose petals. Best man for the groom was Verdyn Aerni and ushers were Linn Stafford and Lee Stafford, brothers of the bride. For her daughter’s wedding Mrs. Stafford selected a pink lace dress with matching coat and she wore pink accessor ies. Mrs. Moore selected a blue shantung suit dress with blue accessories. A reception was held at the IOOF hall immediately follow ing the ceremony with Mrs. Carol Weathers cutting the bride’s cake and Mrs. William Lyness, aunt of the groom, and Mrs. Dave Barnhardt. aunt of the bride pouring. Both the church and recep tion hall were decorated in the bride’s colors of rainbow hued flowers and ribbon streamers. For the wedding trip the bride donned a white en- semble with yellow trim a nd yellow accessories. The young couple will live at Gates where he is employed in construction. She has just completed a course in a Salem Beauty college and when her husband enters the service this fall will work in that occupa tion. Both young people are grad uates of Santiam High school and he has attended college in the east and OSU. She attend ed Bend Community college for a year.
