Tell about vacation fun as it
happens by Long Distance
Somehow it’s just more fun to tell about things
right after they happen. Costs so little, too. Call
long distance and talk station-to station for 3 min
utes anywhere in the U.S., except Alaska and
Hawaii for $1.00 or less plus tax, after 7:00 PM
and all weekend long.

TRESPASSING
It really isn’t necessary to
wait several weeks f :r social
security checks to begin. Nor
do widow’s and children need
to wait for those important
payments to start.
All it takes is some advance
planning and getting together
the right information.
C. I. Flaten, district mana
ger of the sjcial security office
in Salem, said today “The big
gest single reason for delay in
payment of social security
claims is that people do not
have readily available the doc
uments and evidence needed to
establish their eligibility.”
Two things are almost al
ways needed—proof of age and
evidence of the past year’s
earnings.
Social security needs proof
of age to assure that everyone
gets the right benefit at the
right time. That proof must
lie accurate because large
sums can be paid out in cash
benefits and in reimburse
ments for hospital and medical
expenses.
An original birth certificate
is best. A baptismal certificate
made before age 5 will do.
The social security adminis
tration can help potential ap
plicants find their birth certi
ficates. The department knows
when each state started keep
ing oirth records. Applicants
born after that date would be
asked to write for a copy of.
that document.
I can do all things in him
who strengthens me.—(Phil.
4:13).
God created us with infinite
potential to be a self-moti
vated, forward looking, posi
tive-minded individual. In
looking beyond the mists of
doubts, fears, and anxieties,
we will find new and miracu
lous ways to use our power
that comes from the Spirit.
Minimize the appearance of
negation, and real opportuni
ties for growth, progress and
success will be revealed.
