The couple exchanged their marriage vows at the Lyons United Methodist Church with Dr. James D. Hu lett performing the rites. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. John son of Lyons. Mr. Phillips is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude A. Phillips of Stayton. The wedding gown was fash ioned with an empire waist and softly draped skirt which dipped in the back to form a short train. The bodice and 1 ;ng sleeves were appliqued with Ciiantilly lace. The elbow length veil was also styled of lace and held in place with a cluster of white silk organza roses and seed pearls. The bride carried a Ixiuquet of white carnations centered with pink rose buds. Mi-is Susan Frederic was maid of honor. She wore a floor length gown of pink crepe fash ioned empire style and enhanc ed with pink lace. She carried a nosegay of pink and white chrysanthemums with white satin streamers. Mr. Daren Goin stood with Mr. Phillips as best man and ushers were Todd Phillips bro ther of the groom, Ron Middle brook and Mike Brown. Light ing the candles was Pat Tay lor, nephew of the bride. Th-? newlyweds greeted their friends at a reception in the Fellowship Hall. The couple will spend their honeymoon a t Timberline Lodge and other points of in terest in Northern and Central Oregon. Additional items for this sale would be welcomed. The organizations holding the sale wish to extend their thanks to all those who donat ed items and those who attend ed the sale. The foods’ sale held in con junction with the “Rummage Extension sale by the Canyon ~ was very successful. Ti e house, built | by Mr. and Mrs. Forest Baker, was purchased two years ago by Mrs. Sara Hay of Alaska. The MikkelsenR. parents of Mrs. Leo Poole, lived here during the construction of the Detroit Dam where he was employed by Kaiser in the per sonnel department. Since his retirement they have been looking for a place they would like to live perm anently and decided this w’as the ptace. They recently pur chased a Camper and Mr. Mik- kelsen has been trying out the various “fishing spots”. Mrs. Mikkelsen arrived in town Saturday and they plan on do ing some extensive remodel ing and re-decorating to their new home. Mr. and Mrs. Eastwood have | leased the Fred Moore home at the west city limits on high- wav 22.
