By Don Moffatt I just finished reading a news release from Georgia-Pa cific about their new 30-level office building in Portland which will be completed and occupied by this fall. There is nothing too startling about a new building, but the article tells about using the body heat of the secretaries to help heat the building. By gol ly, that’s really something. Of course we all know that the more people you put into a room the less it takes to keep the room warm. A total of 3,000 people will be housed in the offices of the new build ing. Of course there are some men mixed in with the secre taries. The thing I’ve been wondering about is if, when it gets colder outside, the secre taries will wear shorter skirts in an attempt to get the men to generate more heat. Could work that way, I suppose, but I don’t know how much work would be accomplished on a real cold day. Oh, well, that is their problem. Here at The Enterprise we still rely on good old-fashioned oil heat, Easier on the blood pressure of old coots like me.
