Despite the fact that the event was held the day before Easter there were 10 bus loads of girls leaving from Salem about 9:45 Saturday. Weather at the camp, which is located near Falls City, was a little drizzly but the girls got in some hik­ ing and enjoyed their noon sack lunch. Girls going from here includ­ ed 4th graders, 6th graders and a group of Junior high girls. The staff at Camp Kilowan presented a short program and the girls were “briefed” on summer activities. There are always a number of girls from Mill City that attend the sum­ mer camp.
