Mr. .-nd Mrs. Verne Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Alec Burrell and Mrs. Olen Spiva attended a re ception at Sweet Home Sat urday evening honoring Mrs. Marjorie Wilson, Grand Adah of the Grand Chapter of Ore gon Order of the Eastern Star. Mr. and Mrs, Donald Hutch inson are the parents of a son Rodney Neil, born Friday, Feb ruary 14 at Salem General Hospital. He weighed 7 lb. 13 oz. He joins a brother, Randy 6 years old. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Hutchin san of Mill City and Mrs. Jean Scharbach of Stayton. Great- grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. H. I. Plymale and Mrs. G. 0. Hutchinson all of Mill City and Fred Starrett of Cascadia. Patrick Kelly son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Kelly is a member of the Oregon State University Chorus this winter. The 85- voice chorus has a long list of campus performances schedul ed, including a Feb. 25 con cert with the OSU Symphonic Band. Kelly is a freshman at the university, majoring in the School of Science. His home address is 4 SW Green hill Pl. Dick Sims underwent major surgery at Salem Memorial hospital Wednesday, February 12. He returned home Sunday evening and will be convalesc ing for six weeks or more. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Ander son of Condon are the parents of a baby boy. Wayne is Mrs. Roy Gibson’s brother and will be remembered by many peo ple as he grew up in this area. Miss Barbara Gillenwater, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Gillenwater, is in Santiam Me morial Hospital with flu com plications. The Santiam High School band is sponsoring a turkey dinner Tuesday, February 25, from 5 to 7 p. m. in the Home Ec room at the high school. All you can eat. Friday after undergoing sur gery at Santiam Memorial Hos pital in Stayton the previous Monday, but will recuperate at home for some time before returning to her work at the U. S. National Bank. Dr. and Mrs. Paul Barkley of Pullman, Wn., son-in-law and daughter of the Charles Kellys, have been on a trip to Honolulu, Hawaii, the past week with a group of educa tors, 30 in number, represent ing various colleges and uni versities of several Western States. In March, the Barkleys plan to begin a three-months’ tour of duty on the University of California campus in Berk ley. The Junior’s choice, Donna Snodgrass, es corted by Randy Cogar, will radiate Santiam Wolverines dropped their first game over the week end, Friday to host Serra 1- 43, and came back Saturday beating Gervais 52-49, on the home court. In the Serra game the Sab ers took an early lead resulting in a 38-17 halftime score. The Serrans didnt let up in the se cond half, leaving ttle score 59-29 at the end of the third period.
