They were luncheon guests at the home of Mrs. Lilly Wolfkiel. The Mike Knox family, who have been living in one of the B. L. Kirsch houses, have moved to Lyons where they have purchased a home. Mrs. Larry Limsey, Susan, Mary, Lloyd and Leon and Mrs. Kimseys mother, Mrs. Jennie Moe visited Sunday af ternoon, Feb. 9 at the Lee Brant home at Macleay. Mrs. James Richmond and children Barbara, Pam and Tony were guests Sunday, Feb. 9 at the home of her brothers family the Eldon Titzes in Stayton. Mr. and Mrs. D. G. Rabi and daughters Wendy, Marcy and Jenny of Stayton were guests Saturday evening, Feb. 8 at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Monroe. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Teet ers of Tacoma, Wash., visited Sunday, February 9 with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Teeters and other relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Calla han, Jr., and two children re turned home Feb. 1 from Los Angeles, where they had spent Junior League a w eek visiting with his broth er and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Callahan. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Branch were guests Sunday, Feb. 9 at the home of their sons family, Mr . and Mrs. Dean Branch, Denice and Dav- d in Salem. Mr. and Mrs. Don Bomber »er and daughter, Carrie ol Beaverton w ere week-end guests at the home of her par >nts, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wallen. The pupils at the Mehama school hail a couple of days vacation the last of the week due to septic tank trouble at the school. Santiam Grange Has Guest Speaker LYONS — Linn County Judge, Floyd Mullen was the guest speaker at the regular meeting of Santiam Valley Grange Friday night, February 7, and talked on the History of Linn County. A pot luck supper preceded the business meeting, which followed, Reports on Agricul ture and Legislature was heard and the Charter was draped in memory of Olen Spiva. The Grange also presented a pres sure Canner to Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Palmer who recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. Due to the weath er condition many of the rangers were unable to attend their reception. Santiam Drop Pair In Weekend Action 7—The Mill City Enterprise, Thursday, Feb. 13, 1969 Over the past weekend the Santiam Wolverines were de bated Friday by host Jeffer son 51-47, and again Saturday o li st North Marion 71-61. Jeffers n took an early lead n the game Friday night to' give them 17-6 first quarter lead. Santiam made a spirited effort to comeback to make! the halftime score 26-19. The I Wolverines continued to work on Jefferson’s lead and the score at the end of the third period was 37-35, Jefferson’s favor. Hopes were looking up for the Wolverines in the 4th quarter, but they were edged out by only 4 points. J im ? Hince of Santiam was highscorer for both teams with 15 points. Larry Hilles- land was second highest for the Wolverines with 12 points. In the North Marion game Santiam was behind 34-27 at the end of the second quarter. North Marion pulled farther ahead in the third period leav ing the score 54-39. In the fourth quarter the Wolverines narrowed the losing margin, utscoring the opponents by 5 points. Larry Hillesland scored 14 points to lead Santiam. Bruce Roscoe and David Pittam were not far behind with 10 points each. Santiam next meets Serra, Friday, February 14, at Serra.
