Mrs. Martha Spencer left for
her home in San Antonio, Tex­
as Thursday, December 19
after a short visit with her son-
in-law and daughter, Mr. and
Mrs. Gerald Irwin and with
other relatives in the area,
when she was here to attend
funeral services for her fa­
ther, Johnnie Clark of Mill
City.
Guests Friday, December 20
at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
C. M. Cooper were his son-in-
law and daughter, Mr. and
Mrs. Tom Lewis of San Fran­
cisco. The Lewis’ were on
their way to Edmonds, Wn.,
to spend the holidays with
their daughter and family.
John and Willow Phillips
arrived December 18 at the
home of their parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Keith Phillips. Willow
flew from Ft. McClennan,
Ala., to Los Alamos, N. M. and
drove on home with John.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rog­
ers of Salem, were guests Sat­
urday, December 21 at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward
Titze and also visited with
other relatives here.
Mr. and Mrs. Grant Smith
were hosts for a pre-Christ-
mas dinner at the Riverview
Cafe Saturday evening, De­
cember 21 honoring the em­
ployes of Mehama Tire Ser­
vice. Present were Mr. and
Mrs. Donald Semolke, Mr.
and Mrs. Jim McCoy and the
hosts, Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
Mrs. M. V. Frame and Mrs.
E. J. Hughes visited Saturday
and Sunday at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Orval Greer at
Lea burg.

Mrs. Donald Teeters and
Mrs. Harold Longfellow were
called to Roseburg Friday,
December 20 by the serious
Hines of their father, Christ
McDonald of Glide.
Visiting Saturday and Sun­
day, December 21 and 22 at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. B. L.
Kirsch were her brother and
sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Wayne Andrews and the An­
drews’ daughter’s family, Sgt.
and Mrs. Orval Kuhn and
children all of Tacoma.
Guests Saturday and Sunday,
December 14 and 15 at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Julius
Titze were her son-in-law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey
Buxton of Coes Bay. They
also visited with her sister,
Mrs. James Richmond and
children.
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Bass
and sons, Craig, Rodney and
Robert of Fallbrook, Calif., ar­
rived Sunday, December 22 at
the home of her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Leonard Wallen, for
a two week vacation.
