May every road you take in the New Year lead to MEHAMA Mrs. John Teeters Mr. and Mrs. John Phillips, happiness and success. who were married in Oregon City on Saturday, December 21, left Christmas morning for Los Alamos, New Mexico where he is employed by the Atomic Energy Commission. Mr. and Mrs. Giles Wagner are being congratulated on the birth of another granddaught Clarence Ruel er. The baby, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Duane Wagner George and Dorothy of Molalla was born at Salem Memorial hospital, Dec. 23 and was named Jane Marie. She is Stayton, Oregon •A Mile East of the third daughter and the Wagners have one son. The MILL CITY Duane Wagner family spent Christmas day wih the Giles Wagners. Additional dinner guests were Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Matthis and children Debbie and Donald Wagner. Mrs. Jack Ryland was a guest Christmas day of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jones in Sal em. Christmas dinner guests at the Harold Longfellow home were Mr. and Mrs. Donald Teeters and Bruce, Miss Shar on Spellmeyer and Mr. and Mrs. Longfellow, Royce, Rex and Red. Calling later in the afternoon and staying for sup per were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Teeters and Troy of Stayton and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Mat this. Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Hughes and four children of Astoria arrived Christmas day at the home of his mother and aunt, Mrs. E. J. Hughes and Mrs. M. V. Frame for a few days visit there and with other relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Walz, Jeanne, Dorothy, Carol, Darrell and Mike were Christmas day guests at the home of Mrs. Walzs brothers family the Vir gil Tricks in Dallas. Enjoying a family gathering and dinner at the Ivan Clasen home on Christmas day were, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Titze, Keep that resolution and you'll help keep a happy Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Kanoff, family. Holiday guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hancock was their daughter Barbara of Portland. Arriving here Friday to spend the hol iday season were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Clark of Oakridge and Mrs. James Page and son Ja son of Eugens. Stan Gable drove to Seattle to spend the holidays with rel atives and Mrs. Mabel Poncia to Woodland, Wash. Spending the Christmas hol idays at the home of their par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Fry were their sons, Tom and Robert of San Francisco. The Kenneth Fry’s left last week with their trailer house, on an extended visit in the Bay Area. Attending a family gather ing Christmad Day at Oak ridge were Mr. and Mrs. How ard Drago and family of Mar ion Forks. The gathering was held at the home of Mrs. Dra go’s sister and family, the Jim Rays. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Muise at tended a family gathering din ner on Christmas Day at the Ollie Muise home in Mill City. They were also present Christ mas eve when Santa made his debut. A gathering of friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Cowan set the stage for a Christmas Day dinner. In attendance were, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Wilkerson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Zelpher, and Father Francis Callen of Port land. Attending a family gather ing of the Hiebert clan at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Thiesen on Sunday December 22nd at Dallas were, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hiebert and fam ily of Idanha. Mrs. Thiesen is a sister of Mr. Hiebert Christmas Day dinner guests at the Idanha home of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Berggreen was their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Berggreen and children, Susan and Jimmy of Roseburg. The son and his family will return on Friday for a visit through Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Leffler re turned home early Friday morning by plane from Hay ward, Calif after spending the Christmas Holiday there. Mrs. Leffler had been called to Hay ward earlier by the serious ill ness of their granddaughter. Del's Shell Service Philippi Motor Co. Del and Vern Stayton, Oregon Mill City, Oregon DETROIT IDANHA By Boots Champion____ Pvt. Harold Hiebert of the Marine Corp., arrived home from Camp Pendleton In time for Christmas on a 20-day leave. Following his leave here he will report back to Camp Pendleton where he will attend four weeks of Motor Transpor tation School before being sent to Vietnam. Harold said Thurs day he was hoping for a five- day extension on his leave. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hiebert of Idanha. Detroit Cougars will play Perrydale there January 3rd at G:30 P. M. Visiting here for the past three weeks while on leave from the armed frees, are Mr. and Mrs. Jim Stewart and their two children from Yoha- i hama, Japan. A career army j man Stewart and his family J will report to Fort Lewis, Wash., following his leave here. Mrs. Stewart is a step daughter of Elwood (Woody) Hilsabeck who resides at Id anha. While here the Stew arts are making their home at Cooks Motel, and Mr. Stewart is spending his leave working at Green Veneer Inc. Mrs. Chester Storey accomp anied by her daughter Laura, enplaned Christmas Day for Northfork, Va., where they will spend a few days of the holiday season at the home of Mrs. Storey's son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie (Donna) Gifford. Mr. Gifford who is in the armed forces is stationed at Northfork. Mrs. Scott (Nan) Young of Marion Forks, was admitted to Salem Memorial Hospital for k medical attention Tuesday morning. Her daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Johnson said her mo ther had been bitten by the flu bug and was having troub le recovering from the ordeal.
