Many upper North Santiam
homes were the setting for
family gatherings on the
Thanksgiving Holiday. Others
traveled to various valley
towns to be with their famil­
ies and friends.
Ed Slayden and Red Crist
took advantage of the Holidays
to go bird hunting in Central
Oregon, also going were Mr.
and Mrs. Gale Fagan. All re­
turned home Sunday night.
Idanha’s population was in­
creased by two with the recent
birth of twins to Mr. and Mrs.
Charles James.
The little girls have been
named Sherry Ann and Cheryl
Ann. Mother and babies arriv­
ed home from the hospital last
week.
Mrs. Otto Oja drove to Long­
view Tuesday to bring her
husband home from the hospi­
tal. Mr. Oja was hospitalized
about three weeks ago follow­
ing a logging accident In which
his leg was broken.

of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Tow­
ers and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde
Storey were Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Storey of Forest Grove.

Miss Sharon Louise Voll-
man, 19, of Willamina, who
lost her life in an auto accident
Friday, was the niece of Mrs.
Theo Houck of Idanha and Mrs.
Thelma Storey and Earl Lady
of Detroit.

The Home Extension Unit
has scheduled Monday, Dec
ember 9th for their annual
Christmas party. The 7:30 p.m.
event will be held at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Boeck-
stiegel. There will be an ex­
change of gifts, and bingo will
set the stage or the entertain­
ment.
The Woman’s Mission Socie­
ty of the Idanha Communnity
church will hold their annual
Christmas auction Dec. 12th
at 7:30 p. m. in the social room
of the Idanha Fire Hall. The
event will feature hand made
articles, candy and baked foods.
Mrs. Barbara Whiteley will be
hostess.
On December 15th the Idan­
ha home of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn
Williamson will be the setting
for the adult Christmas party
for members of the Idanha
Community Church.
The Willing Workers Club
has scheduled December 20th
for their annual Christmas
