Hutchinson spent Betty Bostwick returned re cently from Livermore, Calif ornia where she visited with her brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bostwick. She said the weather was perfect, she had a nice visit but was glad to get back home. Martin Hansen, zone chair man of Lions club district 36R, conducted a meeting in Silver- ton Thursday evening. A full account of the wedding will be publish ed in The Enterprise next week. Mrs. Evelyn Harlan flew to Los Angeles Friday, September 25 and spent one night with a friend, Mrs. Clarice Marshall. She then flew to San Diego the next day and stayed with a son and family, and celebrated her grandson’s third birthday while there. From there she visited Mr. and Mrs. R. Mc Kenna in Solana Beach and visited with a cousin Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Berry and son, before flying home on Mon day. I now have openings for be DETROIT IDANHA 5—The Mill City Enterprise, Thursday, October 8, 1968 Future Citizens Donald Hiebert was released Thursday from a Salem hos pital and his brother, Jimmy, from the same hospital Sunday. Donald sustained a back injury in a football practice here some two weeks ago and Jimmy sus tained a kidney injury in a football game played at Camas Valley a week ago Saturday. Both boys have returned to school. A Friday to Monday morn ing visitor here at his summer home was Ben Martin of Boise, Idaho. Gary Stephen, who was hos pitalized for a couple of days last week at Santiam Memor ial hospital in Stayton, was re leased last Wednesday. He was taken to the hospital by De troit Mobil First Aid unit fol lowing a spill from his Honda. He returned to school Monday. Visiting several area friends and at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Nyberg last Wednes day was Miss Fay Coper, Ste phanie Masser and Dora Peters of Silverton. Miss Cooper and Mrs. Masser are patients at the Silver Gardens Rest Home in Silverton. Miss Cooper is a sister of Mrs. Nyberg. While here the ladies also called at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cliff McMillan. Mrs. Peters and Mrs. McMillan formerly worked together on nursing cases in Salem before the. McMillans moved here. It was announced this week that the Home Extension Unit will now hold their regular monthly meeting the second Monday of the month in the evenings instead of morning meeting previously scheduled on Thursdays. The next meet ing is scheduled for October 14 at 7:39 in the social room of the Idanha Fire hall. Lesson for the evening is "Breakfast." Following the meeting dessert will be served. It was inadvertently reported last week that 2nd Lt. Brian Waters following his leave here would be sent to South Korea the 2nd of Nov. This was in error, he will be assigned to the 9th Replace ment Detachment at Long Binh South Vietnam following two weeks of jungle survival school at Fort William Davis, Panama. Following his leave here he will report to Fort Jackson, South Carolina before going to Panama. Visiting at the home of Irene Stout on Friday was her broth er-in-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. Casper Swanson of Dallas. The Swansons who moved to Dallas early this summer were enroute to Dallas from their former home in Minneapolis, Minn. Calling at the Stout home on Saturday were her nephew and wife Mr. and Mrs. Milton Moen of Dallas. Sighting in a gun can be expensive for some people. Word was received here this week that Ralph Farrow has suffered another heart attack and is hospitalized in a Calif ornia hospital. Reports indicat ed however that he is now out of extensive care.
