MEHAMA LYONS Mrs. John Teeters Mr. and Mrs. Don Alexan der of Canby visited Sunday, July 14 at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Cooper and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Castle. Mrs. Pasties brother, Walter Her berger of Salem was also a Sunday guest at the Castles. Guests July 14 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank White were Mrs. Roy Bohanan and children of Gervais. Richi Bo hanan remained at the home of his grandparents and plans on picking beans here. Sgt. Dennis Morgan, who re cently returned from a tour of duty in Vietnam and his sister, Mrs. Thomas Lathrop of Salem were guests. Thurs day, July 19 at the home of Mrs. Jack Ryland. Mr. and Mrs. Donald L. Teeters are being congrat ulated on the birth of their first grandchild on July 16. A son named Troy Duane was born to their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Teeters at Salem Me morial hospital who weighed 6 lbs. 9 ozs. Maternal grand parents are Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Williams of Stayton and great grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Chris McDonald of Glide and Mr. and Mrs. John M. Teeters of Mehama. Harold Teeters is stationed on the USS Union in Vietnam waters and expects to be home in a couple of months. Guests recently at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Hel sel were Mrs. Emanda Black of Meade, Kansas, Mrs. Helen Warner of Manhattan, Kan sas and Mrs. Willa Twiehaus and daughter of Higginsville, Missouri. Mrs. Black is the mother, Mrs. Warner a sister and Mrs. Puriehaus is a niece of Mrs. Helsel. Don Engdahl and three children of Santa Rosa, Calif., and his mother Mrs. John Engdahl of Phoenix, Arizona left July 21 for California af ter a few days visit here when they were guests at the home of Mrs. G. V. Chris tensen, Bonnie and Stuart and visited with other rela tives and friends here. Lee and Max Engdahl stayed here to pick beans. Guests from Wednesday, July 17 to July 21 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Smith were her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Olmstead of Denver, Colorado. Enjoying a family dinner at the Smith home Saturday ev ening were the Olmsteads, Mrs. Lester Easom and son Ronald of North Bend and children Karen and Grant Speer of Aumsville, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Owen and children Vicki. Dale and Carla John son of Philomath, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Matthis, Linda, Donald and Debbie Wagner and Craig and Bradley Mat this, of Salem, Mr. and Mrs. Art Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Milton An derson of Salem visited a short time Sunday morning at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Art Anderson. The Milton An dersons are in the process of moving to Mill City where he is employed. Guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Coop er were Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Crowder of Prineville. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Castle were also at the Coopers to visit with the Crowders. Dinner guests Sunday, July 21 at the Harold Longfellow home were Mrs. Blanch Mc Donald and Mrs. Ellen Good and grandaughter Dawn Good all of Salem. The ladies are aunts of Mrs. Longfellow and they also visited with another nieces family the Donald Teet ers. Sunday they all went to McCleary to attend a family reunion held at the home of Mrs. Ander son’s mother, Mrs. Herman Afrank with approximately 30 in attendance. Greg and Hope Johanson from Salem moved into the Methodist parsonage Satur day. Mr. Johanson is the new minister at the Lyons Meth odist church. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hince re turned home Sunday after spending several days at Paul ina Lake. A family gathering was held Sunday, July 21 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hollings head, Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Marian. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Erickson and fam ily, Mrs. Edith Spoon, Mrs. Walter Gogle, and Mrs. Har land Brock of Salem, Mr. and Mrs. Piercy Sweet of Bandon, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Hussey and two children form Port land, Miss Janet Hussey of Cloverdale, The occasion hon ored the birthday anniversar ies of Mr. Hollingshead and Mrs. Spoon also Mrs. Jim Eerickson and daughter Mari lyn who is leaving for a va cation trip to Europe. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Julian, Tr., and son Bradley from Eu- -rene were Sunday guests at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs. Glen Julian Sr. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Olm stead took their son Walter ‘o Portland Sunday, July 21 where he left by plane for Dallas, Texas where he will attend Elkins school of Radio and Electronics. He was form- 'v employed with Stromberg- Carlson Company at Everett, Washington. Tony and Ruth Orsini from Wakefield, Mass., is visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Reynolds, Mrs. Orsini is a sister of Mr. Reynolds. They ?ame by car, driving 3,600 miles. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Burmes- ’er were in Salem Saturday, July 20. to attend the wedding yf Teri Melson and Donald Lee Mills held at the Halbert Memorial Baptist church at 7 p. m. Mr. Mills is a son of Mr. Burmisters niece. Miss Mildred Asmussen from Newport was a Sunday auest at the home of her mother, Mrs. Donna Asmus sen. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Kimery and son Jerry were Sunday and Monday guests in Sea- ide at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Larson. Mrs. Lar on is the former Mrs. Mabel Spa of Lyons. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Allen are spending 10 days at Paulina Lake. They report the fishing not as good as other times. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bassett and Mrs. Leota Worden visit ed them at the lake on Wed nesday, July 17. Rev. and Mrs. Jay Beebe from Winters, Texas visited friends in Lyons Wednesday and were ovenight guests at the home of Mrs. Donna As mussen leaving for their home Thursday. Gary Reynolds from Phoen ix, Arizona is spending some time at the home of his grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Reynolds. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Boying- ton from St. Petersburg, Fla., arrived Thursday evening at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr and Mrs. Russell Wilson. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Spell- meyer are announcing the birth of a new grandaughter Cherri Lynne bom to their son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Spellmeyer of Silverton. She was born Thursday, July 18 at the Silverton hospital. She will be greeted at home by an older sister, Jody. Mrs. Stella Foos of Portland is visiting at the home of her niece and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Mormon. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Shull who recently sold their home to Mr. and Mrs. B. O. Brooks from Clearlake Oaks, Calif., have purchased the Bob Bow ers home in Fox Valley.
