A copy of the See the light. OBITUARIES very much alive and lively Kangaroo was spotted last week jumping down the bank along the North San tiam highway just west of Idanha. Mrs. Donald Ketchum spotted the creature twice last Tuesday, about 45 min utes after she had seen it the first time, in the same area. Since that time it has been seen by at least one other person. Mrs. Ketchum said the critter, native only of Aus- tralia was about 2% to 3 ft. tall. She also said a friend advised her not to tell any body about it. A Salem pet store owner said it was pro bably someones pet that got away. She said Kangaroos are often advertised in pet magazines and anyone can buy one via mall. However, there has been no reports of a missing kan garoo. Speculation is that some one tiring of their pet could have dumped it off up here. Should the critter decide to find a mate, like a deer maybe, it should put a lot of zest in hunting a few years later. Maybe someone might even come up with a deer kangaroo burger.
