■The MUI City Enterprise, Thursday, April 25, 1968 igence advanced Wolverines Lose Two Games The Santiam Wolverines came cut on the losing end of a weekend baseball schedule by losing two games this weekend. One at Regis and the other at Jefferson. This weeks action with a 2-4 count and dropped then to a 3-6 to tal for the season. After being rained out Tues day the Wolverines traveled to Regis Wednesday only to be beaten 6-1 by the Rams. Although the Wolverines managed to score first, in the third inning, the Rams came back in the 4 and 5 innings with a 6 run tally. That Friday was even more disastrous for the Wolverines as the Jefferson Lions dump- ed the 11-1 in an error filled afternoon at Jefferson. Again the Wolverines scored first but the Lions finally came alive and tallied their 11 runs in two innings. The baseball team, to say the least has had a somewhat unsuccesful season so far. But when the odds are down they can always look back on the fine year in football and bas ketball that Santiam has had. LYONS By Eva Bressler Spec.
