Notice is hereby given that
an election will be held by
the City of Mill City starting
at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April
30, 1968 in the City Hall, Mill
City, Oregon and continuing
until 8:00 P. M.
This budget election to be
held April 30, 1968 for the
purpose of submitting to the
voters of the city the question
of whether or not a special tax
in the amount of $6,667.24
shall be levied to operate the
City during the fiscal year
1968-1969. This tax, to require
an additional levy estimated at
$1.31 per thousand dollars of
true cash value of taxable
property within the City, if
approved will be in excess of
the limitation on taxes im­
posed by Article XI, Section
11, of the Constitution of the
State of Oregon, and ORS
478.410(1).
Due to new laws, the above
wording is somewhat differ­
ent than in the past years.
However what It means is
that the total tax inside and
outside the 6% limitation for
1968-1969 will be $16,186.00
compared to the total tax for
1967-68 year of $19,171.00 or
a reduction in taxes of $2,-
985.00.
