Mrs. John Teeters
Relatives here received the
announcement of the birth of
a daughter to Sp6 and Mrs.
Allen C. McDonald at Kassel,
Germany on January 30. The
baby weighed 9 pounds and
was named Amy Larryne.
She has one sister and two
brothers. Maternal grandpar­
ents are Mr. and Mrs. Boyd
Norton and Mr. and Mrs.
Chris McDonald of Glide are
the paternal grandparents.
The Mehama Firemen and
their ladies enjoyed their an­
nual banquet at the River­
view Cafe Saturday evening.
They met at the club house
where the ladles received
their corsages then returned
there later to finish the even­
ing with cards and visiting.
Twenty-four were present for
the evening’s fun.
Mrs. James Owen went to
Seattle, Wn., for the weekend
to visit with her husband,
who is staying with relatives
there and attending the Puget
Sound College of the Bible.
Mr. and Mrs. Chris McDon­
ald of Glide visited here dur-
ing the weekend with their
daughters families the Donald
Teeters and Harold Longfel­
lows. Sunday dinner guests at
the Teeters home were Mr.
and Mrs. McDonald, Mr. and
Mrs. Don Stensland and Ted
of Independance, Mrs. Blan­
che McDonald of Salem, Mr.
and Mrs. Harold Longfellow,
Royce, Rex and Rod, Sharon
Spellmeyer and Mr. and Mrs.
Teeters, Doug and Bruce.
Kenneth Champ, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Dale Champ return­
ed home Friday from Seattle
Wash., where he had just
finished training in the Navy
reserves.

the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Art Anderson were his broth­
er-in-law and sister Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Spoelstra of Salem,
Mr. and Mrs. Grant Smith
and Dale Champ.
Mr. and Mrs. Elzie Watson
arrived Jan. 28 from Pollock
Pines, Calif., and are house
guests at the P. N. Hughes
home while Mr. Watson is
doing some work here

the Wilbur Morrison home In

Services will be 2 p. m.
Monday for B. B. (Dutch)
Snelgrove, 69, 2240 4th St. NE,
who died Friday night. Rev.
Richard C. Kirk will officiate
in Howell-Edwards mortuary.
Interment will be in Belcrest
Memorial Park.
He had been owner of Qual­
ity Used Cars on Portland
Road from 1945 until his re­
tirement 1959. A native of
Butler, Mo„ and a veteran
of World War I, he came here
in 1939 from Oklahoma.
Survivors include the wid­
ow Pauline, at home; a son
Franklin, North Bend; sister
Mrs. Julia Shelton, Lincoln
City; two grandchildren and
one great-granddaughter.
GUY PRICHARD
LYONS—Funeral services
were held Thursday, Febru­
ary 1, at Springfield for Guy
Prichard of Goshen, who pas­
sed away January 30 at the
age of 72. He was born at
Lyons April 28, 1895 and spent
his entire life here until mov­
ing to Goshen in 1944. He
was a veteran of World War
I. He was a retired govern­
ment tranper. He was mar­
ried to Elizabeth Lee Decem­
ber 24, 1923, and lived many
years on McCully Mountain.
He is survived by his widow
of Goshen, three sons, Charles
of Portland, Gary of Goshen,
and Alan of Eugene, and three
grandchildren. Two brothers
Tracy Prichard of Portland,
William Prichard of Lvons;
two sisters, Miss Zeta Prich­
ard of Mill City, Mrs. Millie
Fulk of Billings. Mont. A
large group of friends from
this area attended the serv­
ices Thursday.
