T. A. Ham Dinner Successful Event Lyons Garden Club The annual PTA ham din ner held Thursday evening was a succes for the dinner, for the entertainment and for the money raised. About 425 dinners were served and over $400 was cleared. The dinner is the main money raising activity held by the PTA each year, which en ables them to help support many worthwhile activities. Entertainment was provid ed by the Elementary Chorus, soloist Miss Vicki Rush, a barber shop quartet includ ing Edna Ross, Doris Wil liams, Doris Sheythe, and Helen Cox, with Alice Smith as accompanist; three indi vidual dance number by Kar en Davis, Judy Boroughs and June Kennedy, and a Ladies’ Trio with Doris Williams, Twyla and Linda Fultz and Doris Davenport the accom panist. A few among the many who put their time and effort into the dinner were Mrs. Floyd Eastwood, MC, Mrs. Paul Brady, ways and means chairman; Mrs. Betty Bethel, ticket chairman; Mrs. Doris Williams, enterta i n m e n t chairman, Mrs. Carol Smith, kitchen cleanup, Mrs. Beulah Bowes, posters; Mrs. Florence More, serving chairman; Mrs. Cleata Wills, cake walk, and Mrs. Lucille Baley and Mrs. Gladys Podrabsky, cooks. The meeting of the Lyons Garden Ciub was held Wed nesday November 8 at the Lyons Methodist church be ginning at 10:30 a.m. with a work shop and display of Christmas decorations. A pot luck dinner was served at the noon hour, with Alma Olm stead and Alta Bodeker host esses who furnished the des sert.
