The band was there to play while the cheerleaders led the Student Body in a few yells. The first dance of the school year was put on by the Honor Society with a large part of the Student Body attending. The Honor Society did a good job of or ganizing the dance which made it easy for everyone at tending to have a good time. Early Saturday morning 24 girls and four chaperones left Mill City for an over night camping trip to Fire Camps Lake. G.A.A. sponsor ed the trip as they have done in the years past. There was no rain this year and it was not very cold either, which made it more enjoyable for all. The day was spent hiking, fixing up camp, eating, wad ing or swimming, and rowing the rafts out on the lake. The hike in was only a half mile so the girls could carry more equipment. They arrived back in Mill City by 2:30 p. m. Sunday, very tired and ready for nice soft beds. Class meeings were held the first part of activity per iod Friday. The Freshmen finished electing their offi cers. They are: Secretary Jackie Evans; Treasurer, Rita Whitney, and Representative Tom Rush. The Sophomore class dues were set at 50c. They also voted on activities to raise more money. The Juniors discussed plans for an after game dance on Sep tember 29. Their class dues were set at $1. Seniors main topic was how to raise money for their skip day.
