Mr. and Mrs. Dave Griffith spent several days in Port land the last week on busi ness. Mrs. O. K. DeWitt was in Portland September 2 when she attended the wedding of her great niece, Sandia Thiel- sen and Raymond Carl Rang- ilas at Hope Presbyterian church. Miss Thielsen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Thielsen of Alaska. Mr. and Mrs. Doc Garton and Mr and Mrs. Charlie French spent the weekend at Clear Lake fishing untl it rained them out Sunday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Chud- zinski moved their furniture early Sunday morning to Sa cramento, Calif., where they will make their home. Both will be employed there. Debb.'e and Kelly Noyes, small children of Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Noyes of Port land spent several days re cently visiting with their great-grandmother, Mrs. Dell Smith. Little Kelly Is Just a few months old and Mrs. Smith said she was such a good baby she could really "enjoy” her as well as Debbie. Mr and Mrs. Lee Bassett returned last week from a two week’s trip by camper into Canada. They covered considerable territory, visit ing the various national parks, Lake Louise and Banff and other points of interest. They returned home through Yellowstone Nation al park but were unabte to visit Glacier National Park because of fire conditions. They stopped at Pasco, Wn., to sec the Bill Stover family, long-time friends. Mr. and Mrs. Klmer Shaw left Monday for Kansas where they will visit rela tives. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fink of Renton, Wn., were guests Thursday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gil Duckworth, Sr. Recent guests at the home of Mrs. O. K. DeWitt have been Mrs. Percy Webb of Salem who was there from Saturday until Tuesday and Mrs. Rex Sanford who was there from Tuesday until Saturday. An overnight guest Mon day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gil Duckworth, Sr., was their son-in-law, Jim Spencer from Renton, Wn. The Lions Auxiliary mem bers will resume their fall meetings on Thursday, Sep tember 28. There will be a 7 p. m. dinner meeting at the Riverview Cafe at Mehama. Mrs. D. E.
