Turnidge had been ill about four months and part of that time was hospitalized. Mr. Turnidge was born in Mill City, Dec. 21, 1881 on the place now owned by Mr. and Mrs. Martin V. Kelly. He was married to Alpha Dilley, Jan uary 2, 1909 at Salem. He was a retired logger. Survivors include his wid ow, Alpha, 3 sons, Delbert of Stayton; Hollis of Gates, Arlie of Drain, two daught ers, Mrs. Paul (Orpha) Cree of Mill City and Mrs. Joe (Edith) Cribbs of Enterprise; seven grandchildren and fourteen great grand child ren. He was born in North Dakota. He was superintendent of the Lyons-Mehama water dis trict at the time of his death from an apparent heart at tack. He had been working on a leak in the lines and had gone to a store at Me hama for some supplies and was driving his pick-up when the attack occurred, The vehicle swerved off the road just west of town. Rev. Carl Blanchard offl- dated at the services which were held at Weddle Funeral Home in Stayton. Interment was at Lone Oak cemetery. Survivors include the wid ow, Inez and sons, Clifford of Mill City and Robert of Salem; brothers, Richard, Donald and Leo all of Port land; sisters, Mrs. Bernice Seamster of Salem, Mrs. Frances Kruse of Independ ence and Mrs. Lou Jacoby of Sublimity.
