' Brunner's Flowers and Gifts Detroit Dam Draws Visitors This Season Visitors to Army Engineers’ reservoirs in western Oregon during the month of June totaled almost three quarter million persons, according to Col. Robert L. Bangert, Port land District engineer. The total was 748,615 compared to 487,751 for the month of May. The first six months of 1967 have seen a grand total of 1,782,346 visitors counted at the two Columbia River and 10 completed Willamette Valley reservoirs. Detroit dam east of Mill City on the North Santiam River tallied 117,900 visitors for June to take third place honors in the Portland dis trict. In the first six months of 1967 Detroit Reservoir has attracted 242,040 recreation ists of all types. Mill City Women's Softball Team Wins Over Gates Team The Mill City Women’s Softball team played a home game on Tuesday, July 18, winning over Gates Women by a score of 22 to 13. Pitching for Mill City was Geneva Johnson. There was quite a bit of action through out the game, with a double play by Esther Cline. The season t ecord now stands at three wins and two losses.
