LYONS By Eva Bressler Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Roye were called to Eugene Tues day by the sudden death of her cousin, Mrs. Elsie Skoog of Florence. They will return to Eugene Friday afternoon where services will be held. Mrs. Kate Fox of Salem was a Tuesday all day guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Allen. Mrs. Deima Barrington from Austin, Texas is visiting rel atives in Lyons. She is a guest at the home of her two sis- ers, Mrs. Ethel Taylor and Mrs. Zella Siemund also at the home of her neice, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Johnston and fam ily Mrs. Barrington will be remembered at the former Deima Grimes who spent her girlhood here. Miss Joan Schwindt of Eu gene was a week end guest at Mr. and Mrs. Edward Titze | returned July 2 from a five day camping and fishing trip I on the Metolius river. Mrs. Everett Gray and Mrs. Frank Gray of Toledo were overnight guests Wednesday and Thursday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank White. Sunday guests at the White home were her brother-in-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. Don ald Donovan of Albany and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Murphy of Corvallis. Mrs. Everett Gray and Beck Kesser also came Sunday evening for a few days visit. the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Schwindt and Victor. Miss Schwindt is a student nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eugene. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Sailor from Fullerton, Calif., are vis iting at the home of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Hobson Gunn. Wed nesday evening they were all guests at the home of Mrs. Ruth Lyons enjoying a din ner on the patio, with Mrs. Eulalia Lyons also present. Thursday a dinner was held at the Gunn home honoring Mrs. Sailor on her birthday anniversary. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Sailor, Mr. and Mrs. Gunn, Mrs. Ruth Lyons and Mrs. Eulalia Lyons. Mrs. Sailor will be remembered as the former Miss Bessie Lyons who spent her childhood here. Monday afternoon visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Fink and Mr. and Mrs. and Corinne of Ponaka, Al berta, Canada, have been staying with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Winslow, since June 4. July 2, Court ney Hunter and Mr. and Mrs. Don Winslow of Red Deer, Alta., arrived for a visit. Mrs. Sheila Winslow is the daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Vic Her ron. Monday evening, July 3, the Dale Scharff’s were visited by Mr. Scharff’s father and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. John Scharff of Gold Beach, Stev en and Stacey Scharff are vis iting their grandparents, the Albert Werners in Salem.
