Budlongs To Celebrate Fiftieth Anniversary 2—The Mill City Enterprise, Thursday, May 11, 1967 Wofnank PaCfñ Fifty Years for Scott and Nan Goldie Rambo, Woman's Page Editor, Phone 897-2772 Eastern Star Elects Officers Monday Night High School Reunion Held at Podrabsky's Mrs. Irene Podrabsky and Mrs. Vera Grimes of Lyons entertained one day last week with a noon pot-luck luncheon for former Scio High school schoolmates at the Podrabsky home. The group of women have kept in touch with each other through the years since their high school days and have had annual re-unions when ever possible. Mrs. Podrabsky said the group had a pleasant day reminiscing and showing pic tures of children and grand children. Those present besides the hostesses were Mrs. Olga Shelton, Mrs. Virginia Wood, Mrs. Marie Karosch and Mrs. Mary Rice of Scio; Mrs. Jar- mila Radcliffe, Mrs. Rose Johnson, Mrs. Opal Hansen, Mrs. Mabel Bruce and Mrs. Carol Clansfield of Salem; Mrs. Willetta Pense of Mil waukie; Mrs. Jerry Truax and Mrs. Virginia Bartnick of Vancouver, Washington, and Mrs. Thelma Peters of Stev- ensen, Washington. Mr. Laird is a student at Northwest Christian college , where he will graduate in I June. He is minister at the Bethel church. Mr. Laird will be ordained at the Mill City Christian church at .3 o’clock June 11. In August Mr. and Mrs. Laird will go to Scotland where he will attend semin ary for a year. Clyde Bressler, Wilson Stevens and Mrs. Freda Gruggett. Fifth Grade Camp Fire Girls Have Outing Na-Wi-Ka Group of Camp Fire girls had an outing last Saturday, May 6 at Fisher men’s Bend. The girls receiv ed instruction in fire building and using a knife. For lunch, each girl learned to preoare “foil stew,” “walking salad,” and “bread twists” cooked on a stick. A hike was taken with half the group laying a trail which the other half fol lowed. After the traditional marshmallow roast, girls nracticed good outdoor man ners by making sure the fire was completely out and the campsite cleaned up. Those taking part were Chervle Laurence.
