Owner, Phone 897-2660 Past Matrons and Patrons Honored at Star Meeting Bitterlick Singers Draw Large Crowd The Bitterlick Singers from the U of O, a group of 12 young men, including John Kelly, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kelly, sang to a re sponsive audience at the Mill City Elementary school gym Friday afternoon. The group has a varied re pertoire with songs to please all age groups. They have re cently cut their first record and will be featured in the July issue of Seventeen maga zine. During Friday’s perform ance John was featured in a comedy impersonation of Sen ator Bob Kennedy. The Bitterlick singers will entertain at Humboldt col lege at Eureka, Calif., in early May. Garden Club to Elect New Officers The Mill City Garden club met at the Gates clubhouse Thursday for a 1 o’clock des sert luncheon with Mrs. Charlie French, Mrs. Ervin Peterson, Mrs. Marie Tolbert, and Mrs. Lowell Cree as co hostesses.
