4—The Mill City Enterprise, Thursday, April 6, 1967 Idanha Church Has Pot Luck IDANHA — The Idanha Community church held a potluck luncheon in the so cial room of the Idanha Fire hall Sunday following church services in observance of the churchs’ 19th birthday an niversary. The Sunday school was or ganized in 1948 by a group of area people, and its first class was held in the old theatre building at Idanha, now known as Davis Variety store. Sunday school classes were then held in the mess hall at the old CCC camp and con tinued there until ground was leased from the U. S. Forest Service and the present Idan and Gifts ha Community church erected in the early 1950’s. Voters at a special city elec tion last July approved an $85,000 water bond issue au thorizing issuance and sale of revenue bonds for improv ing and extending the city's water system. The proposed extension of the system will be to develop the Breitenbush river as a se condary source of water sup ply, modify the distribution of the present system for maximum development and install larger mains, plus fire hydrants wherever needed for better protection.
