9—The Mill City Enterprise, Thursday, March 30, 1967 ant and Mrs. Lillie Ferris Notice of School Budget Hearing NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of the governing body of Detroit School District No. 123J of Mayion-Linn County, State of Oregon, will be held at the Schoolhouse on the 12th day of April, 1967 at 7:00 p m. P. M. o’clock for the purpose of discussing with interested persons the budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1967 and ending June 30, 1968, hereinafter set forth. The budget was prepared on a basis of accounting consistent with that used in the preceding year. Major accounting changes, if any, and their effect on the budget are set forth in an accompanying statement. A copy of the budget document is available for inspec tion at Detroit Schoolhouse between the hours of 8:00 p. m. and 4:00 p. m. The budget document may be obtained for $1.00, or parts of it may be obtained for $.10 per sheet. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Thomp son are announcing the birth of a new grandaughter, a daughter born to ther son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Ward of Mehama, on Thursday, March 23, at the Salem Memorial hospital. Other grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Dick Schotthoefer of Stayton. Sunday callers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Roye were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Law- rence and son Merle from Cave Junction. They were enroute to the airport in Port land where Merle who is with the Marine Medical Corps was leaving for the east coast after a leave of absence at the home of his parents. The Law rences spent some time here while he was eighth grade teacher at the Mari-Linn school. Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Jobe were his three daughters and families, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Miller and three children, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Williams and two children, of Portland, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert White and three children from Van couver, Washington. Mrs. Leota Worden was a dinner guest at the home of her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Lierman and four children in Stayton. Additional guests were her other daughter and husband Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bernard and son Gregg of Mill City.
