Plambeck was a retired boiler room fireman for the old Hammond Lumber Com pany sawmill here, and later for the Mill City Manufactur ing Company Co-op. He was a veteran of World War I, and had been baptized in the Lutheran church. Survivors of John C. Plant- bee., as he was known here, include his daughter, Mrs. Else Allen of Mill City, Dr. Hans Plombeck of Corvallis, Otto Plambeck of Lacey, near Olympia, Wn„ a step-son, Walt Witt of Glendale, Calif., six grandchildren, and two greatgrandchildren. Other relatives include one brother and one sister in Germany, and numerous nieces and ne phews. Otto Witt of Mill City is a brother-in-law. There are also many old-time friends and neighbors of N.
