turtles were paid for in pen­
nies brought by the class
members. The sophomores
turtle, Jessibel the Jumper,
won two out of three starts,
to place first and win a trophy
full of bubble gum.
The sophomore class at
Santiam is now getting ready
to put on the annual Sweet­
heart’s Ball. They are work­
ing on a theme for the dance,
which will be held on Febru­
ary 11, this year. They will
have live music for the dance.
