ifornia over the holiday,
spending Christmas with her
sister and husband, Mr. and
Mrs. Tony Ratley at Fresno.
They were joined there by
their daughter’s family, Mr.
and Mrs. Ray Burleson and
children of Oxnard, Calif. Mrs.
Ratley accompanied the Kings
to Oxnard to visit several
days at the Burleson home.
Mrs. King said they enjoyed
good weather all during their
visit. Another daughter, Mrs.
Donna Littleton of Aumsville,
operated the store in their
absence.
The Lauran Holmans visited
Sunday at the home of her
cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Lane and family in Albany.
Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Barn­
hardt were Saturday evening
dinner guests at the home of
their son-in-law and daughter,
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Stier of Cor­
vallis which his birthday an
niversary was celebrated.

have moved into the former

teacher at the Mill City ele­
mentary school.
Mr. and Mrs. Mel Newberg
and Toni took their son-in-law

them off at the airport for

they will be making their

know they had arrived safety.
The trip, including two stop­
overs, took 16 hours.

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wilk­
inson are planning to move
their mobile home to Jeffer­
son Jan. 17 or 18. They have
acquired a lot there in a spe­
cial tract for trailer homes.
The Wilkinson’s son and
daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Kenneth Wilkinson, plan to
move onto their property here
with their own mobile home.
Mr. and Mrs. Clifford More­
land had an especially happy
holiday season with the ar­
rival of her two sons home
from the navy after two and
a half years in Japan with
the USS Oklahoma City which
was serving as flagship for
the 7th fleet. They are FTSN
Kenneth E. Clute and CTO
Cecil C. Clute. Jr. The latter
was accompanied by his wife
and daughters, Tracy and
Kelly who had been with him
in Japan. All were together
with the Morelands for Christ­
mas at the home of her son-
in-law and daughter, Mr. and
Mrs. Kenneth Turner in Sal­
em. The Kenneth Turners and
Kenneth Clute were guests at
the Morelands over New
Years weekend. Kenneth Clute
will be receiving his discharge
from the navy within the next
few days. The older boy has
since returned to duty.
