Friday the whole school par ticipated in a red and gray day. A pep assembly was held after class meetings on Fri day. The senior class held a revival, during the assembly, for the Serra Sabers. On Thursday Santiam’s GAA went bowling at Stayton. Bowling is an activity through which points can be earned toward GAA awards. The club plans to go bowling again this month. The girls’ basketball team held their first game on De cember 6. They beat the op ponents, Scio, by a score of 2-21. The girls’ team is coach ed by Mrs. White, Ben Jones and Bob Williams. Santiam Wolverines were edged by the Serra Sabers in a score of 50-49. The Wolver ine slost their first league game, at Serra, on December 9. Their next game will be against the Central Panthers Friday at Santiam. Wolverine coach is Jack Walton. Santiam’s JV team lost their game Friday. They were top ped by Serra 41 to 30. The JVs are coached by Phil Van- Daff.
