Police Blotter November 14— Mill City Police began an investigation regarding forg ed checks today after receiv ing them from three Mill City merchants. Mill City police investigation showed the checks had been drawn on a Mill City woman’s account af ter she had left the state. An order of compromise was made after restitution was made on all checks. There were no arrests. Chief Jim Taylor said a Sweet Home woman is cur rently under investigation for passing a bad check at Hilltop market. Taylor said a war rant will be issued. November 24— Mill City Police are investi gating the theft of a 10-foot hose and missing gas from Bassett’s Chevron station in Mill City. Chief Taylor said the suspect has been identi fied and lives in Seattle. He was passing through here dur ing the holidays. The law does not allow for extradition from another state for a misde meanor said Taylor. He has supplied the FBI with a copy of the report however since the gas was taken from a for est service vehicle. November 26— Mill City police are investi gating the theft of a car be longing to Maurice P. Riley of Aumsville. Riley said the car was stolen from Mill City around November 14. Police have identified the person who took the car and are still investigating. November 27— A dog belonging to Dallas R. Smithey of 132 S. E. Ivy bit Robby L. Taylor on the leg today said Chief Jim Tay lor. Young Taylor was riding by on his bike when the dog bit him. The dog has been ordered held for observation by the owner for 14 days. No citation was issued and the bite did not appear serious. November 27— David Sledge of the Rich field station in Mill City re ported today that someone had stolen 91 gallons of fuel from his pumps. Police check ed the sales slips, and charge cards, and checked them a- gainst the pump readings and found a mistake in Sledge’s adding. No theft had occur red.
