Mr. and Mrs. Horace Mc Carley Jr. and four daughters of Eugene visited a short time here with Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Cooper when they were spending the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ho race McCarley at Mill City. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Crook spent most of the weekend be fore last and also visited with relatives in Portland. Mrs. G. D. Bilyeu of Leban on visited here a short time with relatives on Sunday. John Teeters Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Branch returned home Mon day, Sept. 12 from a five-day vacation trip when they visit ed briefly with relatives in Nevada but spent most of the time at various ghost towns in Nevada and California. They were particularily im pressed with Bodie, Calif., which is a State Park and con tained many interesting build ings and exhibits. Mrs. Branch said that they would like to return there again some time. Mrs. Grant Smith and Mrs. Bonnie Wagner visited last Thursday with Mrs. Smith’s sister, Mrs. Douglas Jansen in Portland. He suffered face lacera tions and possible back injur ies and she received a hand fracture. Their son-in-law, Donald Wunder, 30, of Salem was list ed as one of the drivers of the two-car accident. He and his family received outpatient treatment. Sidney Brady of Silverton was listed as driver of the other car. He was charged with driving while intoxicat ed, according to Marion Coun ty sheriff deputies. He was also driving with a suspended license.
