Mill City friends had receiv ed word that Dr. Edward Rada and family were to leave for Formosa where he was to teach economics at Soochow University. He was then (and now) teaching at UCLA. The Mill City Lions club had hosted a zone meeting with all nine clubs in the dist rict represented. Andy And erberg was president at that time. Penny Newberg was initiat ed into Santiam Rebekah lodge that week. Faustina Nesbitt was serving as noble grand and Gladys Mason as vice-grand.
