Thriller By Bill Wilson Santiam got off to a slow start in a Capitol Conference basket ball game played here Friday night. The Wolverines were be hind by one point at the end of the first quarter, and dropped back to a 17-point deficit by the end of the first half. Santiam may have lost hops for awhile, but were quickly New Business To Open Here Soon I revived in the third penod when the Wolverines scored 23 points while Central managed only 7. In the fourth period, the game was fairly even, as neither team Jed by more than four points. In the last seconds of the game Santiam led by two but could not hold the advantage as Central made two free throws. This tied up the game and put it into the first of three, three- minute overtimes. During the first overtime, each team scored two points, so that another over time was necessary to break the tie. The second overtime was to no avail as each team scored four points. The mighty Wolverines then took over in the third overtime period and outscored Central three to two, to win going away. Individual scoring. Randy Marshall 27.
