Santiam Wins from
Scrappy Gervais
Team Tuesday
Santiam Tuesday night defeat
ed a scrappy, aggressive club,
from Gervais 63 to 52 on their
court. The game was in doubt
until the last five minutes. San
tiam hit two fast break bas
kets and set up two or three of
fensive maneuvers that hadn't
worked up to that time. The
dominance of the backboard
during the last quarter was the
determining factor in the win.
Santiam's ball handling improv
ed during the game but the
team has a long road to travel
before it will be ready for the
tough teams.
