Members answered roll call by telling of a memorable ex perience during their lives, either during a holiday or other time. Of special interest was Mrs. Q. V. Miller's comments on her years spent in Japan and the quaint customs of the people there. She also mentioned the fact that one does not realize just what Christmas and fam ily as well as America means until that time is spent in a foreign country Mrs Edith Mason conducted a short business meeting before the Christmas party was held, also reading several interesting poems by Tennyson. In charge of the program were Lettie Swan and Ann Primeau with members enjoying the play ing of Christmas bingo. Refreshments were served, carrying out the holiday motif with Helen Kimmel, Nell De Witt and Lettie Cline on the committee. Round Robin Club are Mr. and Mrs. Ed L. Trip To Mexico Man From School For Mrs. Roy Epperson Blind At Meeting Heads Church Group Coming Year The December meeting of the Santiam PTA was held at the high school library with Mrs. . Dave Bornhardt presiding at the business meeting. Main item on the agenda was the discussion and adoption of the budget for the year. Room count of most parents and teachers present was taken by Mrs. Alice Morrison with the sophomores winning the large stuffed dog whicn goes to the winning class for the month. Mrs. William Learning, pro gram chairman, presented Jay Rasmussen who showed slides of the trip taken last spring by students at Santiam and their chaperones. Those viewing the pictures agreed that it was an outstand ing experience for those taking the trip and one that wolud long be remembered. Coffee and cookies were serv ed by senior room mothers at an informal coffee hour. Phone 873-3801 Hie Marilyn Club met Tuc* day nt the home of Mrs G«well Cree with Mrs Charlie French as co-hoatcss. A covered dish luncheon was served at 12 o'- clock from small tables gaily decorated with the Christmas theme.
