A petition was read from Faith Rebekah lodge for con­ solidation with Santiam as they have become too small a group to function alone. The petition will be read again and voted on at the November 6 meeting. Following the meeting cards were played by members pres­ ent. Mehama Women's Club To Seek New Members During Nov. MEHAMA—The new officers were hosts for the meeting of the Mehama Women’s club at the fire hall Thursday evening. This was the first meeting of the fall season and plans were dis­ cussed for increasing the mem­ bership. It was decided to have a contest again this year start­ ing with the Nov. 71 meeting. The street light committee re­ ported that there was still quite a number who had not made payments on the 1963 lights and that it would help the commit­ tee if payments would be made at Golliets as soon as possible, Mrs. Raymond Branch announc- ed that the club was ■tiU col­ lecting Boyds coffee lids and that she would appreciate it if those having lids would _ KCt them here as sn as possible. Garden Club To See Demonstration On Dry Arrangements The Mill City Garden club will meet Thursday. November 7 at 10 a. m. at Fellowship hall with Mrs Martin Hansen. Mrs. Ernest Graham and Mrs. Louis Verbeck as hostesses. Mrs. Hollis Tumidge will de­ monstrate "Dry Arrangements” and Mrs. James Swan ’’Christ­ mas Arrangements." Those attending are asked to bring a sack lunch. Coffee and jello will be served.
