Garden Club Makes Plans for Show Grandma Circle September I 8th Plans are being made for the Mil’ City Garden Club Flower show. The date has been tenta tively set for September 18 at Fellowship hall. Mrs James Swan, Mrs. Hor ace McCarley and Mrs. W.xxiy Heller are co-chairmen for the show; Mrs. J. C. Kimmel. Mrs Herbert Schroeder and Mrs Fred Moore are on the food committee. Mrs Harvey Tol- bert will be making the posters and Mrs. Curtis Cline is select ing the judges. The schedules will to pub lished soon. Jaycettes Discuss Plans For Next Year's July 4 Float The Jaycettes held their re gular meeting at the home of Carol Laeuallen. On display was the blue rib- bon received from the Stayton Fire Department for first place in the civic division at the San- tiam Bean Festival recently. The group decided to sell Christmas cards again to raise money for the Toys for Tots project at Christmas time. Cleta Wills and Paula Grant will be in charge of selecting the cards for sale. A good time was reported by all who attended the Jaycee Water ski party which was held recently at Detroit Lake. Discussion was held on a float for next year's entrance in the 4th of July and possibly other celebrations. It was agreed that a new platform would have to be built for this purpose.
