Noble Streeter to speak to the group. His subject was "Correlation of home, church, and school in developing char acter.” Mrs. Mabel Downing and | Mrs. Modena Carleton were I hostesses to the Lyons Exten- i sion meeting at the Community club house. Mrs. Bea Hiatt, program chairman had arrang ed for a talk by Frances Kelly on buying and matching plaids and stripes. Mrs. Ernie Podrabsky had entertained members of the Mill City Garden club at her home. The Christmas party was scheduled to be held at the home of Mrs. Albert To man. Hie Julian Rudy home at Idanha had been destroyed by fire of undertermined origin. The Rudys were in Portland at the time of the fire. ONE HOUR H’e wish you all the gift of joy this Christmas. - C. Christmas misfortunes were haunting the family as two years ago at the same time he was in the hospital awaiting surgery. Mrs. IX hi Jenkins had just returned from a Portland hos pital where she had an opera tion on her back. Mrs. Delbert Jenkins from Lacomb was as sisting with the care of the Jenkins youngsters. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Gregory were in Monmouth that week to attend Vesper services at OCE. Their son.
